La gens Aliena ou Alliena était une famille plébéienne de la République romaine. Le premier membre connu de cette gens fut Lucius Alienus, édile plébéien en 454 B.C. Cependant, la famille a ensuite sombré dans l’obscurité pendant plusieurs siècles, réapparaissant une fois de plus au premier siècle avant JC (1).
Le nomen Alienus peut être un dérivé de l’adjectif latin, alienus, « un étranger ». Il a également été utilisé comme cognomen personnel dans la gens étrusque Caecina. Les Alienii étaient d’une grande antiquité à Rome, mais ne semblent jamais avoir été une famille particulièrement grande ou importante (2).

Ce magistrat fit émettre au nom de César un denier (1460AL).
